Dear Family, Friends, Associates and Colleagues --

As many of you know, I turned the big 5-0 this year.  In celebration of this milestone, I have challenged myself to do something I've never done before each month for the year.  Rappeling off a 32-story building will be my August challenge. 

My mother is a cancer conqueror.  My father was recently diagnosed with CMML, a type of leukemia.  Cancer runs on both sides of my extended family.  Contributing to cancer programs and research has always been important to me.  In the past, I have contributed money to cancer programs.  This year I'm going one giant step further - over a building!  I'm doing this as part of "Team Jackie" with Jackie Selby of the KOSI radio station.  She survived doing it last year and is doing it again this year, so it can't be that bad, right?
