I have to admit, rappelling off the side of a building in downtown Denver is not what I want to be doing on a Saturday afternoon.  However, many people in my life have been touched by cancer and this is another opportunity for me to raise funds and awareness in their honor.

As many of you already know, one year ago at the age of 36,  my dear friend Courtney was diagnosed with breast cancer.  She had a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation.  Luckily, Courtney had the knowledge and resources to battle her disease valliantly, and she was diagnosed with a type of cancer for which there exists a highly effective treatment.  Not everyone is so lucky.

Last year, several people went "Over The Edge For Courtney" and collectively raised over $40,000 for cancer research. This year, I am honored (and freakishly scared) to go "Over the Edge WITH Courtney" to celebrate her recovery as well as to raise money to assist others who are facing cancer.
