Hello all. It's a beautiful day to live!

  I am a 24 year old brain cancer survivor of almost 6 years.  I was diagnosised 1 week before I started classes my sophmore year of college.  I had my first brain surgery the following November, while still in school. One and a half years later, the tumor started growing and I did 6 weeks of radiation therapy.  You can see the hair I lost in the picture below.  Then 2 weeks before my wedding in 2008 I found out the tumor grew again and I had to have another surgery 34 days after my wedding.  My wonderful and amazing fiancee still married me and stayed by my side through all of it.  And my terrific parents, from Colorado Springs, stayed in a hotel near me after surgery and took care of me during the day.   Today, I'm living strong with a few cognitive problems but God has blessed me with great family and friends.  Although the tumor is growing again, so I started chemotherapy in April and am continuing until there is change.

 I used to support American Cancer Society but then found Cancer League.  100% of donations go to research and patient services.  The people are amazing, their heart is in the right place. Plus, they have given grants to the doctors at the University Hospital who saved my life twice.
